Meet Our Teachers
Tamaz has over 25 years of teaching experience with children and adults. He was born in Georgia, USSR and started learning to dance when he was 8 years old. Tamaz started dancing competitively shortly after and had consistently held top places.
When Tamaz was 16 years, his family relocated to Israel where he met Ilana. Together they became Israeli National Champions in Latin and Ballroom. In 2000 Tamaz and Ilana were invited to teach at the prestigious Fred Astaire Studios in Boston, MA. In 2006 Tamaz and Ilana opened their own studio “ILTA Dance” in Framingham.
Ilana was born in Lithuania, USSR. She started dancing when she was 6 years old and was one of the top competitive dancers in Lithuania, USSR.
Ilana and Tamaz met in Israel, where Ilana’s family relocated when she was 16 years old. Together they became Israeli National Champions in Latin and Ballroom. In the year 2000, Tamaz and Ilana were invited to teach at the prestigious Fred Astaire Studios in Boston, MA. In 2006 Tamaz and Ilana opened their own dance studio “ILTA Dance” in Framingham.
Jenya started dancing at a very young age. In addition to ballroom dancing, she was also learning ballet, contemporary dance and hip-hop. From her early years, Jenya loved to choreograph and teach others to dance. When she was only 16, her students were winners and finalists at many Ukrainian competitions and dance talent shows. In 2010 Jenya moved to the USA. After 4 year of dancing as amateur, Jenya became professional dancer and instructor.
Her accomplishments include: Twin Cities Open Ballroom Champion The Commonwealth Classic Champion Dancing a la Carte Champion Nashville Stars Champion.
Erik started out young in competitive dancing winning himself many world and national titles. He has also been featured on shows like Oprah, Dancing With The Stars, and America’s Got Talent. Erik trains single girls that are competitive and don’t have partners. This is a great way to learn and be able to dance or compete with a partner that is your dance teacher at the same time.
Shelly’s first steps as a toddler were in a dance studio, as she grew up in the dance world she never lost her love for it! Consistently with her partner and husband Erik Linder they have been taking over the top spots in youth and under 21 ballroom and Latin at many championships. One of her biggest achievements have been being a standard US champion and placing 11th in the worlds amongst the best of the best!
Josh started dancing at the age of 3 and has remained a dancer since then. He and his partner regularly make finals at nation-wide competitions. They have also reached the quarterfinal at the world championships. Josh has been an instructor at ILTA for several years, teaching and dancing at competitions with his students.
